Why it matters
Germany has a federal government, 16 states and more than 10,000 municipalities, and many of them run their own portal. When you move, have a child, start a business or lose your job, the rules are online, but spread across sites that each assume you already know which one to open.
AskGermany starts from your question instead of the org chart.
